Koshov-Cherven: The route offers meeting with the surrounding area, leaving it a different recollection of this when visiting Cherven’s Fortress. The distance between the two villages is not far away - 8 km. While you leave Cherven behind your back and fall in the picturesque area Chuchana where there is a luxuriant spring, on the other hand at the river – it is the only remaining mill in this part of the river. Then comes a series of eye medieval monasteries, some of which existed prior to 200 years - Big Paradise Monastery, Little Paradise Monastery, Hind monastery. The last one has the legend that connects the origin of the name of Koshov. The monastery will smite you with carved stones from the monks leading to their cells and you will realize what a powerful spiritual center was in time past the river Rusenski Lom.

Flora and Fauna:

The Village Koshov is the northernmost point of Europe, in which the Egyptian vulture nests. In the rocks around village Koshov is one of the two pairs of Egyptian Vultures nesting in the park. There is equipped observation deck at a suitable place near the village.

If you are lucky you will hear the cry of the small piercing eagle, or you can see the majestic flight of the golden majestic eagle and lond-legged Buzzard.

For a more in depth view you can see the hunter Falcon or owl.

The most interesting fauna of the park is the rare black stork. You can see it when looking for food along the river or when resting, perched on a cliff.

The river Rusenski Lom has moist zones and it is important Bird Area. Here you can see herons, rocky pigeons, swifts, woodpeckers. There are over a hundred species of birds that nest in the area.
The richness of the fauna is associated with a number of invertebrates. Among insects will see shy mantis, stag beetle, rhinoceros beetle. Riverside meadows are haven for butterflies. The lens of the camera may seal peacock eye swallowtail, queen of Spain fritillary, Vanessa atalanta, and some species of dragonflies.

The river is inhabit of several species of fish, crayfish and mussels.

Here is the only place of the Siberian polygala. It is not very rare to see orchids.
